Venice-Venezia

So, we made our leisurely way through the countryside yesterday and arrived in Venice late in the afternoon. It took us a while to find the parking lot that I had prepaid for. When we finally found it, we were directed to the 10th floor. We found out that is where they stash all the visitor cars. Looks like the foreigners either have bigger cars and/or are very bad at parking. We then took the vaporetto from the parking lot at Piazzale Roma to Ca d'Oro and walked the short distance to our bed & breakfast, Al Plazzetti. We had to wait a while for "the boy" to come over to check us in as the owner did not live in the same building. The building is right on a canal off the Grand Canal. It is close to a main street with lots of eateries and stores. After a short break in the room, we made our way back out to the streets for dinner. We went to Osteria Assassini for dinner. We had a lovely dinner. After that, we went to St. Mark's Square, wondered around and listened to music till past midnight before going back to our B&B. I will try and provide more details later, but no promises. Nthe beautiful day in Venice beckons - St. Mark's again, Murano, Burano and whatever else appears on the horizon.
